Lecavalier Cellars – Newcastle Tasting Room

Lecavalier Cellars is on a mission to redefine the wine industry through cutting-edge technology, sustainable practices, and most importantly, the creation of exceptional wines.

We offer an assortment of varietals from California’s premium wine regions, including our home in the Sierra Foothills as well as Napa Valley, Russian River Valley, Sonoma County and Paso Robles.   Our white wines range from light and crisp to medium and full bodied while our reds focus on varietals from the Sierra Foothills AVA that excel in this climate, such as Barbera and Syrah.  In addition, we source from other vineyards to deliver best in class Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Our methods are unrivaled, starting from a specially patented wine bottle which eliminates the use of carboard, to our state-of-the-art winemaking.  Once bottled, our team delivers your wine in our fleet of electric vehicles and collects empties for re-use.  The service is free of charge and offers rebates to encourage the bottles to be returned to us.  Lecavalier Cellars is a symbol of how technology, innovation, and sustainability can merge to create great wines while feeling good that you are helping to support the environment.

Our tasting room is conveniently located in Newcastle, just off I-80 East at the Newcastle Road exit (#115).  This makes us easily accessible from the Greater Sacramento Region, and for travelers heading to Lake Tahoe.  Please join us for wine tasting, enjoying a meal, or holding your event.
